Learn about the body and how it functions so that you understand how drugs and phytochemicals bring about their action and how viruses and other microorganisms attack the body. Also learn about diseases such as cancer and diabetes. It is important that when you hear that a certain drug or chemical is useful for some disease that there is a mechanism by which the drug works that you can relate to or understand. For years, there was epidemiological evidence that cigarettes cause lung cancer. However, that was just epidemiology and correlation does not mean causation. It was only until causal mechamisms were found that it was irrefutably accepted that cigarette smoking caused cancer and other diseases such as emphysema. By understanding causal mechanisms you learn to discern the truth. There are many claims about many drugs that may or may not be true. In addition, most drugs cause side effects. Learn how to mitigate those side effects by for example taking potassium with licorice root or taking folic acid with methothrexate.

I recommend everyone watch this video about the HIV virus. Not all viruses are retroviruses like HIV, but it shows you that viruses are non-living if you can keep the virus out of your cells it is harmless. I also recommend reading about glycyrrhizin and influenza virus. Here are the links:

Medicine Cabinet

Top items in my medicine cabinet are (in capsule or tablet form) cloves, green tea and ginger as pain-killers and anti-inflammatory medicines, activated charcoal for food-poisoning, licorice root and echinacea for flu, colds and covid and toothpaste containing tea tree oil or Salvadora persica for teeth and gums. Foods such as cinnamon and cashew nuts to help regulate your blood sugar and magnesium and potassium - not to be taken on an empty stomach - to keep your blood pressure low, juniper berries also to help reduce blood pressure. Green tea and juniper are diuretics. Vitamin C, Zinc, Vitamin D are always good to have, but do not take vitamin C on an empty stomach unless you want the most awful heartburn. Coconut oil for candida and tea tree oil for anything bad that grows on your skin or nails.

Rheumatoid Arthritis Relief

Sage contains rosemarinic acid and may offer some relief from an over-active immune system. The trouble is we are in a pandemic so if you are going to take sage you really have to ensure you don't catch any other viruses.

Debilitating Period Pains

If you take ibuprofen for period pains, try also green tea, ginger and clove with the ibuprofen. It should reduce the pain to almost zero. Do not take ibuprofen on an empty stomach.
